Hair Product!

Can I just say how wonderful this hair product is?!  This stuff is amazing and helps keep the ends of my over processed hair from splitting and being too dried up!  This is the renewing argan oil of morocco - extra penetrating oil for dry & coarse hair by OGX.  I purchased this stuff at Ulta for about $8 (they were having a sale, I'm not sure of the retail price :-/ ).  I was looking for a cheaper alternative to some of the more expensive luxury hair care argan oils that I had been purchasing.  I love this stuff!  My hair is colored blonde with a combination of high lift dye and bleach.  Let's face it, damage is bound to occur when you have been coloring your hair blonde as long as I have.  I've been on a mission to grow my hair super long for the past few years.  I have seen the biggest improvement with my hair since I started using these types of oil products on the ends of my hair.  In the morning, I coat the ends of my hair with this product (or something similar depending on what I've purchased) and at night I do the same.  TRUST ME!  You will see the biggest improvement with your hair!

Halloween Makeup - Work with what you have!

Hi ladies!  Tomorrow is Halloween and that means makeup!!!!!  Now I'm not one to completely paint a monster or animal on my face, but I love to play around with dark eyeshadows and lip colors.  Halloween night is perfect for this, because if you totally mess up, it's dark out!  Who's going to notice?!?!  (Unless you are going to a party…..that is a different story!)  Anyway, I took out all the makeup I have on hand and I only purchased one product for the occasion.  I'm a believer in using the products that I have before going to Ulta, Sephora, the makeup section of the department store, or any drugstore to spend money on more makeup!

Now, believe it or not, I had all these makeup products.  All but 1.  The only thing that I went out and purchased is the NYX vamped up lip top coat.  I'm not even sure how to use lip top coat.  Anyway, I got it because I wanted something black for my lips because the hello kitty black lipstick is old and getting dried up.  So what all do we have here in this picture?  We have some MAC liquid studio fix in the color NW20, NYX eyeshadow primer, MAC false lashes mascara, some NYX concealer, A very used up MAC eyeliner pencil, the dark shades of a holiday makeup palette that I got 2 years ago in a discount bin at nordstrom rack, NYX finishing spray in matte finish, an old Clinique palette that I got as a gift with purchase years ago, NYX HD finishing powder, and some very old black hello kitty lipstick.  Using all these products, I am going to do my makeup for Halloween.  You don't have to run out and spend a fortune on makeup specifically for this one night!

Busy Day!

This is going to be a busy day!  First, grocery shopping.  Then, Christmas shopping (I am one of those freaky people that doest their Christmas shopping extremely early; believe it or not, I am late this year!).  Then, my workout-I'm focusing on strengthening with weight lifting exercises.  After that, I get my hair done!  Yay!!!!!!!!!  I have 1 inch black roots!  Yuck!  Anyway, then I have to log on to my student portal and take the online classroom tutorial and set up a few things before the new semester starts next week.  Busy, busy, busy!

Christmas?!?! It's not even Halloween!

Last week, I took 3 photos.  Let me remind everyone that this is the week of Halloween.  The first picture was taken at the grocery store…………………

Now, when looking closely at the above photo, you will notice multiple different types of eggnog along with holiday flavored creamers.  This photo was taken 2 weeks prior to Halloween!!!!!!!!!!  What is going on here?!?!?!

Next, I visited Michael's crafting store and took 2 photos….again, 2 full weeks prior to Halloween.

The first photo is a Christmas ornament that I found absolutely adorable.  :-)  Anyway, that cute puppy ornament was hanging with hundreds of other ornaments on a huge display.  The second photo is a display showing customers quite the variety of lighted Christmas trees.  I don't know about you, but for me, it is just too darn early for this!  Again, why do we need to see hundreds and even thousands of Christmas ornaments and various home decor items 2 weeks prior to Halloween?  This is madness!

Wow! A Sale!

So last week I posted that I had cleaned out the closed and posted a handful of items online to sell.  Well, within 10 days of listing, someone purchased one of my items!!!!  This is super exciting because I haven't had much luck selling lately.  I am hoping that this is the beginning of a trend.  :-)

Just Browsing!

This is a random blurb post:
I was out shopping a few days ago and found this tee-shirt.  It reads "I'm Not Stalking, I'm Browsing."  This made me literally LOL!  We all have that one friend (or had that one friend) who stalks their crush, ex, or neighbor on social media.  For that one friend, this shirt is definitely a potential Christmas gift!

:-P

Candy Corn Cake - Part 1

It's cake time!!!!!  This is a Candy Corn inspired cake for Halloween.

I made this cake using a Betty Crocker cake mix.

I followed the directions on the box and separated the batter into three bowls.  I added food coloring to create yellow and orange batter.

Then I poured the orange batter into the pan and baked…..

And then the yellow……

And then the white…..

I then wrapped each cake in plastic wrap and refrigerated them overnight.  Part 2 of this post will be decorating!  To be continued……………...

Chocolate Chip Muffins - Halloween edition!

It's time to bake!  What am I baking today?  Muffins for Halloween.  I'm using a mini (pumpkin shapes!) muffin tin to make bite sized muffins with a Halloween theme.

:-)

First, I have my muffin mix and my muffin tin.

Next, I add the milk and mix as directed on the package.

Now, I fill up the empty tin and bake!

And in no time, I have cute little bite sized muffins in pumpkin shapes for Halloween!

Halloween Makeup - The Dark Side!

So this year for Halloween, I'm planning on doing makeup "from the dark side."  Dark eyeshadow and dark lip is the look I'm going for.  Black eyeshadow…..hoping I can pull that off.  YouTube makeup tutorials!  Dark lips…..hmmmmmmm…..Do you know just how hard it is to find black lipstick in a drugstore brand?  OMG!  I've been to every drugstore in my city and they don't have anything!  The only thing I could find that was a black lip product was a lip primer thing by NYX cosmetics at Ulta.  And get this - it was the only one in the whole store!  What is up with this?!?!?  I've found many black lipsticks from online makeup companies, but if I'm only going to use black lipstick once a year, on Halloween, I refuse to pay for shipping on top of the lipstick itself!  Good grief!  Anyway, this Halloween "dark side" makeup will be interesting this year!

Candy Corn?

What to do with candy corn?  I recently became the proud owner of a huge bag of candy corn and have no idea what to do with it.  If I eat the whole bag, Ill end up sick!  :-(  I was thinking of baking a cake and sticking all the candy corn on the outside of the cake.  Other than that, I have no clue.  Any ideas?  Comment below….

Room is almost complete!

So at the beginning of this month, I vowed to clean out my entire bedroom.  Well, I am just about finished with that daunting task!  All I have left to do is organize all my school supplies (Binder, folders, notebooks, pens, pencils, etc) and put away a few odds and ends.  And even though I'm an adult, I still relate to this image:

Random Blog Post

This is going to be a random blog post.  I don't have anything interesting to say and I don't have any latest and greatest products or reviews to post.  It has been way too hot to do anything fun.  I am still in the middle of cleaning out my room.  I went to Ulta and got a few makeup/hair products that I will be posting soon as well as the results of my room cleaning adventure.  My hair needs done; I have 1 inch super dark brown (almost black) roots against the rest of my high lift blonde, so I have been trying out some hair braiding looks in the attempt to hide the ugly dark roots.  I have a whole bag of clothes and two pairs of shoes waiting to be listed on Tradesy for selling.  I just haven't gotten around to it yet.  Halloween is only a few weeks away and I can't buy any candy yet because in all this heat it will just melt.  :-(  I ordered textbooks yesterday for the upcoming semester.  Hmmmmm, I can't think of any other random things to write.  I guess that's about all for now.

Cleaning out the Closet!

I feel just like Cher Horowitz right now………..

So earlier this month, I blogged about how I was going to clean out my entire room.  Well, I've started and been making great progress and now I've reached the closet!  OMG!  Today I took everything out of the closet and went through all clothing, shoes, and bags!  Took all day long.  I've piled everything up that I don't want anymore and when I go through my dresser and add to it, I will be listing things on Tradesy to sell.  I'm really proud of myself on this one.  I pile everything up in my closet and then it ends up being a total disaster.  Sometimes I swear it's a black hole where shirts disappear!  Anyway, just needed to blog this one.
